EVGA releases X299 Micro 2 motherboard

Second EVGA X299 mATX available

At Computex 2018, EVGA has unveiled an updated version of their original X299 Micro, which the company had launched the calendar year before. The new model comes with an improved CPU VRM design which should work better combined with Intel Core i9 HCC processors.

The EVGA X299 Micro 2 motherboard sports a black PCB with black heat sinks and a tiny fan. Furthermore there is an armada of features like WiFi and BT modules as well as on-board buttons. The X299 Micro 2 isn't the vendor's flagship model yet there are a number of interesting features. On this board there are two PCIe Gen 3.0 slots with steel reinforcements and one PCI x4 slot.

On the storage side we see one M.2 slot and six SATA ports. Furthermore we also see all the bells and whistles you'd ask for in the event of overclocking. At a first glance this is certainly a good looking motherboard.

Looking around for the price we found that the EVGA X299 Micro ATX 2 motherboard is supposed to be sold for €289 Euro and it's ready to order in both the US and Europe.
