Claymore Miner v11.9 increases Ethereum Mining Performance

By 3 to 5 percent

Not long ago the team behind the Claymore mining software added version 11.9 to their git repository available for download. As usual quite a few bugs have been fixed but with this version they also claim that Ethereum mining performance has been increased.

According to the realease notes the latest version v11.9 of the Claymore miner has received a complete overhaul on the code side. Due to the fact that the miner is based on completely different code it's been possible to achieve higher mining speeds. The team claims that the mining performance is between 3 and 5 percent higher than with previous versions. The reason for that are much less invalid and outdated shares. If by any chance you're mining on ethermine.org you might be aware of the fact that the dotted, blue line (current hash rate) looked like a zig-zag when compared to the the green one (reported hashrate). Using the latest version current hasrate has stabilized on a higher and more stable level.

Other than increasing Ethereum mining performance the latest Claymore miner also supports dual mining of Ethereum and Decred/Siacoin/Lbry/Pascal without any impact on Ethereum mining speed. What's also great if you're a home miner is the fact that all cards can be mixed. It's even irrelevant whether you're running setups where you're mixing AMD and NVIDIA cards.
